Tucker family in Alcaal, Fazenda de Quizenga
On September 1st, we received representatives of the Tucker family from the United States, more specifically from the State of Virginia, at Fazenda Quizenga.
William Tucker left these lands in Angola, in what is now called the Province of Malange, over 400 years ago and was the first free slave to acquire land in the United States.
Their descendants, seeking to know their roots, decided to return to Angola, on a journey of discovery and reconciliation with this blessed land.
Alcaal Angola, led by Dr. Jorge do Amaral, received with great emotion this prestigious delegation of more than 70 people at Fazenda de Quizenga, where a convivial and fraternization lunch took place.
